TÜRKONFED | Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation

TÜRKONFED (Turkish Enterprise and Business Confederation) is a non-governmental business platform established in 2004 that represents regional and sectoral business federations and associations across Türkiye, working to strengthen economic competitiveness, inclusive growth, and business development. Its work spans policy advocacy, capacity building, and ecosystem development through commissions on Youth, Education & Entrepreneurship, Digital Transformation, Access to Finance, and more, which help connect emerging enterprises with skills, markets, partners, and supportive networks.

While TÜRKONFED predominantly serves SMEs and broader business communities, it directly engages with startups and entrepreneurial initiatives through collaborative programs and projects that encourage sustainable innovation and ecosystem growth. For example, it partners in entrepreneurship programs targeting social benefit startups with HSBC Türkiye and Hackquarters to support ventures aligned with the UN Sustainable Development Goals, offering mentoring and growth support to selected startups. It also leads EU-funded youth entrepreneurship projects like “Youth Enterprises and Public Sector for a Sustainable Society (YEP!)” that bring together partners from multiple countries to foster social entrepreneurship, as well as capacity-building initiatives that connect youth and entrepreneurs to resources and global thinking.
